Alfred Sisley (October 1839 - January 1899) was a French born Impressionist landscape painter. He was the most consistent of the Impressionists in his dedication to painting landscapes and as he matured his use of color intensity increased in his painting. His works are usually overshadowed by Monet since they are relatively the same in both style and subject matter.
